Washington Post - By Glenn Kessler - Jun. 04 (Special Report) - Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin has spent this week taking a high-profile bus tour up to New Hampshire, in what may or may not be a prelude to a presidential run in 2012. She spent half an hour the other day chatting with Fox News’s Greta van Susteren. The full interview is posted on Palin’s Web site, but we watched all of it so you don’t have to.

We’ll go through the key statements in the order in which she said them, which allows us to begin and end with some absolute whoppers.
NewsTrust Rating: 4.1 average - 8 Reviews » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer

But how Palin entered politics in the first place may surprise you. It turns out, Palin was recruited into politics to help the cause of bigger government.

"We were looking for a moderate who was interested in community development, basically," says John Stein, one of those who recruited her.
NewsTrust Rating: 3.4 average (not enough reviews) - See Review » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer

Bush told CNN's Larry King in an interview that aired Monday that she hoped Palin would stay in Alaska. From Palin's interview with Ingraham:

"I don't want to concede that we have to get used to this kind of thing, because I don't think the majority of Americans want to put up with the blue-bloods -- and I want to say it will all due respect because I love the Bushes -- the blue-bloods who want to pick and choose their winners instead of allowing competition," Palin said.
NewsTrust Rating: 3.8 average (not enough reviews) - See Review » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer

That agenda might not attract much campaign cash from Manhattan bankers or Washington lobbyists, but it could be a compelling formula in the new Tea Party-infused Republican party. Then again, bankers who care about cutting government spending and keeping taxes low might want to take a second look.
NewsTrust Rating: 3.7 average (not enough reviews) - See Review » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer
