While sites that feature user-generated video, such as YouTube, "won the short-term sprint" to reach audiences, he says, "Winning the marathon will be professionally produced, emotionally driven story content."
NewsTrust Rating: 2.7 average (not enough reviews) - See Reviews » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer

Trying Out the Zune: IPod It's Not

New York Times - By David Pogue - Nov. 09 (Other) - But what, exactly, is the point of the Zune? It seems like an awful lot of duplication -- in a bigger, heavier form with fewer features -- just to indulge Microsoft's "we want some o' that" envy. Wireless sharing is the one big new idea -- and if the public seems to respond, Apple could always add that to the iPod.
NewsTrust Rating: 3.8 average (not enough reviews) - See Review » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer

New York Times - By John Freeman Gill - Jun. 18 (News Report) - By registering with www.secondlife.com, residents can stroll — even fly — around a three-dimensional representation of the existing park, then create their own dream park by adding such design elements as trees and bushes.

The project, first reported in Wired magazine, is intended to solicit neighborhood input on how the park should be improved. And though the software is still being fine-tuned, Mr. Lowenhaupt said, "in an ideal world, everyone would be able to save their favorites, and then everyone could vote, 'American Idol'-style, for their favorite park design."
NewsTrust Rating: 3.5 average (not enough reviews) - See Reviews » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer
