We turn to a recent interview with a real Kenyan anti-colonialist: Ngugi wa Thiong'o, a world-renowned novelist, playwright and literary critic, and Distinguished Professor of English at the University of California, Irvine.
nation.co.ke - By Macharia Gaitho - Apr. 20 (Opinion) - It’s just as well that victory for the No campaign would not lead to the removal of the kadhi’s courts from our constitution.

For if that happened, Kenya would become a landlocked country.

We would say goodbye to the famous beaches and hotels that generate an entire tourist economy.
NewsTrust Rating: 3.6 average (not enough reviews) - See Review » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer

African Path - By Jared Odero - Feb. 14 (Opinion) - "Kenyans had become aware of skewed gains favoring certain communities because of their ruling power and therefore wanted change. The December 2007 elections were supposed to elevate the poverty-stricken masses to greater heights, and to possibly offer a leveled playground to share the national cake. The anger following the rigged presidential election results, testified the accumulated frustration in waiting on the periphery to "eat"."
NewsTrust Rating: 4.0 average (not enough reviews) - See Review » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer

Thinker's Room - By M. Just M. - Jun. 16 (Opinion) - Just when you think that you cannot set the bar lower on Mwai Kibaki and the constellation of black holes that oscillate around him, they never fail to disappoint — they find a way to slither under. I’m beginning to wonder if they are gaffes or premeditated actions.

His cabinet ministers are on record having defended the Armenian brothers at the hub of this controversy. Defended them. In parliament. Internal Security Minister John Michuki and Immigration Minister Gideon Konchellah actually defended these gentleman in parliament and in the media.

This past weekend a series of events took place that left Kenyans collectively dumbfounded.
NewsTrust Rating: 3.0 average (not enough reviews) - See Review » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer
