Boilerplate Friedman. Very good that he gives the quote by the VP. . Uses an oxymoron ' Jewish democracy ' ..

Drunk Driving is a misnomer...friends don't let friends drive drunk....i guess that would mean ...stop all funding to the radical right wing expansionist Israeli government, until they conform to the UN directives.

Friedman is too gentle on the radical zionists who control Israel. He ignores what the US right wing response would be to any strong rejection from Biden/Obama, when the AIPAC seems to dictate republican policy for the middle east.

Friedman bops the Israelis on the nose, gently, but regrettably encourages the delusion Israel can keep many of the illegal setlements in the West Bank, and merely must exhange an equal amount of land. Wrong! He also scare-mongers regarding Iran.

Israel's insane effort to repress the Palestinians for generations to come poses a greater threat to the national security than Iran. The Saudis say the real problem in the Middle East is Israeli oppression of the Palestinians, not any "threat" from Iran. If Israel keeps any of the illegal settlements, it must be on a like-value exchange basis - - not equal area.
