Ted Kennedy And The Democrats Hate Free Speech

Once again, Minnesota's Senator Norm Coleman attempted to ensure that government would not control the content of political speech -- and once again the Democrats ensured that they could impose it. Ted Kennedy himself blocked Coleman's amendment with a point of order, and the Democrats torpedoed it in a party-line vote:

CQ sometimes tends to hyperbole. If anything, he has toned down the rhetoric on this one. This issue should be dominating the headlines.

The article turns the truth on its head. The right wing dominates the airwaves because rich white wing media owners have moved toward monopoly ownership of broadcast stations and have dictatorially prevented free speech by allowing only right wing broadcasters. Important story. The democrats want a revived Fairness Doctrine to silence Rush Limbaugh & company. Apparently owning the MSM, and the educational establishment doesn't present the democratic party's viewpoint to enough people, so now they want to shut down republican talk radio.
