A short essay of personal opinion on DOPA, a political act very charged by the public eye in the social agora, online and in real life. Among the most important things Marianne Richmond mentions, there is the politicians' lack of proper information and right discrimination between the ups and downs of the Internet, an ignorance that the author suggests it goes hand in hand with stupidity concerning the knowledge of the differences between online social networks, advertising and sexual predators. All this makes the line between legislation and education to be wrongfully invaded by the Congress. Good overview on recent legislation in the US affecting social networks and the ways they are assumed to affect youth. Well-sourced with an overview of comments at various blogs.
