Will new elections "audits" help or hurt?

The flaw in the Holt Bill (HR 811) so-called audits (I call them spot checks or samplings, not audits) -- anyway, one flaw is the assumption that there won't be ballot substitutions and another flaw is that the same PR spin we've seen for 10 years now will suddenly stop working. Full Story »

As an informed an persistant advocate of honest voting systems, Bev Harris tries in this piece to inform the public about defects in the system and in current proposed modifications of the system. The format and the style is a bit unusual, but the points made are almost un-reported elsewhere, and are important. Common Cause seems to have bought into the Holt bill in spite of its problems.
