AP: Screw the Facts, Protect the Narrative

The Associated Press, ostensibly a news-gathering organization, did not apparently ask these sources about Yon's account or what their soldiers had witnessed. Nor did they apparently ask any other American or Iraqi PAOs.

Why?

Confederate Yankee is still on the AP's case about why they won't report verifiable news about Al Qaeda terror, but will report un-verifiable and false stories about U.S. troops. He notes that AP certainly had plenty of chances to get it right, and yet completely failed to do so.
