Kucinich: 'Imperial' vice president needs to be impeached

Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, continued to stress his case for impeaching Vice President Dick Cheney, saying his role in pushing the false case for war is akin to a high crime against the constitution.

"To me it's about the constitution, it's not about the personality," Kucinich said Monday morning on Joe Scarborough's MSNBC show. "And the constitution requires the highest office holders to have the highest standards and obedience to the law, and ... Full Story »

An important topic. Delves more into the thinking and words of Kucinich who leads out front on issues, rather than hiding in the herd.

Poll-driven impeachment proceedings are not a positive development in our political culture. Kucinich is a crank and his spotlight-seeking pronouncements are probably not beneficial to our political culture either. I just don't understand why this "story" deserves mention, and why Kucinich's comments on this matter are worth reporting--there's no substance in this piece. There's the mention of the law and constitution, but not of the laws Cheney is accused of breaking. It must be said, however, that the phrase "imperial vice presidency", nonsensical, oxymoronic and emblematic of Kucinich's confused view of how government operates, is pretty funny.

The story presented Kucinich’s statements accurately as verified by watching the video. Another reviewer misinforms; Kucinich's stand is neither new nor prompted by polls. Relevant all along, the majority has finally discovered that his view was the truth. Kucinich continues to be ahead of the main stream, this time on action.

I don't doubt that Rep. D Kucinich, (Nutball-Ohio) said and predicted the things that are presented here. What makes me wonder is that anyone listens to him. One wonders if "Crazy K" realizes that the Vice President would preside over his impeachment trial, if it came to that.
