This article is so short, and so much relevant information is missing from it. It seems almost like a PR piece for PS9's PTA, which is an odd tone for a news article to have. The reporter seems to be unaware that schools with the highest SES (socio-economic status) populations tend to have extra resources to hire staff like teacher aides, which schools in low SES districts don't have; this story doesn't provide a worthwhile news angle from which to understand this issue.
