CO2 Capture and Storage: The Energy Costs

Capturing carbon dioxide from coal (and gas) fired electricity plants. Subsequently transporting the carbon dioxide from the plant and storing it underground in (abandoned) oil/gas fields, in other geological formations or on the ocean floor. Good information, if one sided. The article never mentions that the easiest way to avoid CO2 is simply not to burn fossil fuels and replace them with renewable sources. Also, I am convinced that putting the CO2 in the ground just transfers the problem to a later generation.
