This editorial focuses largely on remarks made by Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and Hilary Clinton, commenting on President Bush's decision to commute Scooter Libby's prison sentence. It contrasts this with their attitudes towards President Bill Clinton's commutation of the sentences of Puerto Rican terrorist group FALN. Based on that incident, the authors conclude that Democratic leaders are hypocritical. It's a rather weak argument, as there are such vast differences between that terrorist group and Scooter Libby's actions. Good article that shows once again the hypocrisy of the typical politician.

the issue is not commutation, it's obstruction of justice. This editorial needn't agree, but it could and should acknowlege the issue as raised. Rather it chooses to ignore that angle. Understandable, but not to be truted.
