Who can we negotiate with? To whom do we talk? Well of course, we should have talked to Hamas months ago. But we didn't like the democratically elected government of the Palestinian people. They were supposed to have voted for Fatah and its corrupt leadership. But they voted for Hamas, which declines to recognise Israel or abide by the totally discredited Oslo agreement.

This British story is so poorly sourced that I would write it off entirely if I hadn't read well-sourced stories and seen documentaries confirming what is written. It's too bad. It could have been much more convincing. I wish it were more convincing for those who need to hear a viewpoint that isn't so often found in this country.

Since this is an article by the infamous, Robert Fisk, one can be reasonably assured that it (1) supports the Palestinian cause virtually without limits, and (2) is riddled with distortions, lies and very few hard facts. Having waded through this mess of a piece, I can attest that Fisk lives up to his reputation.
