Cheney's Terror Tactics Concealed

President George W. Bush's administration embraces a simple, predictable creed in exercising power: Conceal the truth. All matters of public importance are state secrets. This is a poorly sourced article that is heavy on name calling and light on facts. Even if all the assertions are true -- and they certainly play to my prejudices -- this is the type of article that polarizes and makes it even more difficult to get to the bottom of issues.

Consider Gallagher's statement: "Vice President Dick Cheney's latest claim of secrecy, supremacy and unrestrained power is a perfect illustration of how this vile administration operates and the disdain and utter contempt these criminals have for democratic principles and institutions." Has democracy been fatally wounded?

We have known that Big Dick has been George's daddy since he picked himself to take the job of VP. This story just reinforces that then drifts off onto another subject with little transition but concludes with a true statement of what this administration believes.

This is not a news story, it is an opinion piece with little in the way of facts.
