A must read for what it authoritatively demonstrates about the sloppy and inaccurate reporting that characterizes much of the work of New Yorker writer, Sy Hersh. It's also eye-opening to many who have perhaps continued to believe that the New Yorker still represents the "gold standard" when it comes to fact-checking; as this article notes, that's a practice that has largely gone by the boards, as numerous other writers have documented in spades.
