The main point of this story, is abortion and whether or not rape and incest should be reason enough for women to have an abortion. Republican candidate Richard Mourdock expressed his views on abortion, concluding that abortion should only be allowed if it endangers the life of the mother. Therefore rape and incest will not be reason enough to have an abortion. Mourdock states "And I think even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen." Many people were shocked at Mourodocks comments, and the debate continues between the parties. The story is a diverse topic in which many candidates express their views. The story is fact-based although contains the opinions of those in the government, debating on abortion. The story has solid links and references to its sources. The story is written by Lucy Madison, from CBS News.
