This is an excellent article. Long gone are the days when women were expected to stay home and raise a family and have dinner on the table by five. Today it is imperative to have two incomes and single parent homes are more common. Having it all is just not possible all the time. Mothers must take a more active role in the workplace while trying to raise productive, happy human beings for the future. Anne-Marie Slaughter has hit the nail on the head. I'm not a woman in a leadership position, but I am a working, schooling, single mother of three. It is increasingly difficult to balance work, academic and home life, but somehow I manage to do it. I was delighted to see an article that, actually, addressed the myth that we as women can and must have it all. There are sacrifices that must be made and having it all is an illusion. While we can have it all sometimes, it often comes at a high price.
