This is a strong opinion piece with plenty of links to back up its assertions. It is transparent in that it doesn't try to hide the agenda of the writer - to put today's deficit in perspective, to highlight overspending in the military, to provide context for the health care debate, to clarify the impact the ACA will have on the deficit and to suggest we focus like a laser beam on job creation.
