Graphicly pictorial and immediate reportage from the scene. Again, "Glory" seems a stretch in an invasion against a hapless army, and an occupation based upon lies in order to steal oil.

1. What does bad press have to do with strangers not acknowledging soldiers? 2. London being a huge city like New York, I can't imagine people acknowledging any stranger, military or not. 3. How do you go about acknowledging a soldier's duty in Iraq if you don't know whether he or she has ever been there? Do civilians have to start memorizing the meanings of patches and ribbons? 4. This sentence floors me: "Because the 278th took the smart approach, despite all the people who have died from IEDs, I’m sure that number is vastly less than it could have been." More on the spot reporting with the Queen's Own Lancers in Iraq. More really wonderful photography. Shows Iraqi nomads and their herds somehow making a living in the middle of a howling desert.
