Given the complete lack of any significant reform after the Global Financial Crisis (GFC), we live in Ayn Rand's America today. Ayn Rand's America is an oligarchy. The Citizens United ruling shows that the wealthy controls the Judicial branch. The lack of any indictments of the huge banks which caused the GFC shows that the wealthy controls the Executive branch and the bailouts themselves show how much control the wealthy has over the Legislative branch.
