Excellent report on how the U.S. Supreme Court reached its Citizens United decision to allow corporations to make unlimited contributions to political campaigns. This in-depth article provides a factual, play-by-play account of how Chief Justice John Roberts orchestrated this reversal of a century of law to give "moneyed interests the freedom to raise and spend any amount, from any source, at any time, in order to win elections." Outstanding journalism, well worth the read.
