An interesting and important angle on the Swat story, there's a lot of information not here that would be worth exploring. How exactly are these landowners the economic pillars of the valley? Is there any positive response from peasants about the possibility of land redistribution? Is the feudal farming system currently in place the best option for economic development in Pakistan?
