Excellent opinion piece accurately describing Christie’s motives behind his canceling the now infamous railroad tunnel. But then, thinking folks knew he was indulging in gross falsehood when he uttered his “reasons”. I especially agree with Krugman’s assessment about a general rule of politics, “that people who talk most about future generations–who go around solemnly declaring that we’re burdening our children with debt–are, in practice, the people most eager to sacrifice our future for shore-term political gain.” As for the Christie, unfortunately, he’s typical of the right winters currently plaguing the country and has a great future in the Republican Party.
