This article focuses almost completely on the medical frame stating that medication and drugs are the solution to the problem of obesity. This article does not travel upstream at all because it sticks to the viewpoint that this new drug is the best solution to the problem. In my topic area, this is a common approach to some people however the people I interviewed and met with are working more upstream by working on policies and prevention issues to improve obesity and diabetes. To move this article more upstream, other solutions to the problems of obesity is to promote exercise and healthy living, pointing more towards prevention, rather than drugs.
