It is interesting to note that the central story in this piece occurred about six months into the Baltimore Believe campaign. I wonder how this reflected upon the campaign. According to the article, the incident showed just how much more progress needed to be made and spurred further interest in the campaign. I found this to be a good piece, but I wonder why the story was only published in February 2003 if the crime occurred in 2002? Although this piece mainly features the reaction to the crime, I wonder if it could still not have been written earlier. On another note, how does the incident of arson reflect on Baltimore Chronicle writer Tyldesley’s views (a previous article posted)?
