Graphic illustration of how hundreds of billions end up down the rathole, whether in Afghanistan or Iraq.

The US should not be taking the lead in working out how best to lower the violence levels in Afghanistan, and squandering hundreds more billions of dollars (ponied up the taxpayers) is not in the national interest. Let Iran, Russia and China work out how to deal with the problems of Afghanistan.
