This legislation is unconstitutional, infringes on the rights of US citizens, and should be struck down.
Senator Lindsay Graham, a supporter of NDAA, explained that it "basically say[s] in law for the first time that the homeland is part of the battlefield" and anyone can be detained, "American citizen or not."
Any American who doesn't respond when called upon, or any national not protected by his/r government, might be called an enemy combattant. But international Human Rights (as well as our Constitution) must reighn.
