Wonderful journalism! An excellent, well written, factual, overly long article, which really nails the current history of how we got to our current state of what I consider to be domestic terroristism: the radical right wing. If you can sustain it, a must read. Actually a handbook on how we got to our terrorist, fascist police state. Although right wing radicals have all the money behind them, the elephant in the room is Occupy Wall Street. And unless they can police-state that out of existence, 2012 looks like disaster–you know, loses similar to this just completed election? Voter disenfranchisement, anyone?

Back a century ago whilst working on my PhD, I wrote a paper in a political science class in which I predicted the continued use of television would lead to an actor being elected president. Even though subsequent experience in the film business gave me amply experience with actors, when Reagan was elected president, I didn’t realize what a disaster an actor as president really was. Still, Bush saved him. Before Bush, Reagan was slated to go down in history as the worst ... More »

I have come to the conclusion that the Republican party has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of big business. This article explains how convincingly and in detail.

Article filled with demonization and half-truths. Republican agenda is to cut government: lower taxes, regulations, litigation, energy costs, healthcare costs, etc. This helps the poor more than the rich. Republicans don't hate or love the rich, the goal is to shrink the out of control and bankrupt government to help everyone. I'd love to see Ron Paul write a full skewering of this article.
