The analysis documents recent GOP failures--not only in the polls, but also in the ideologies, and postulates how far from where the party is today, it will have to travel in any comeback attempt. Its strength is in its assembly of one failure after another; its weakness is the omission of potential Democratic blunders.

The assessment failed to take into account how the party can make a comeback if the Democrats push through their agenda on the backs of future generations with trillion-dollar debts--a mistake that will unite Republicans with Libertarians and Conservatives.
