This BBC article reports verbatim the statements offered by Dr. Phil Jones, director the the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia, in response to specific questions. Some of Dr. Jones' answers were expanded for publication--one assumes in order to clarify context.
Ye gawds, it sounds like the inquisition. The allegations of the deniers are put to Jones, and he answers them directly, but the explanations here are only moderately clear and more related to the spurious charges than to depth of the science.
