US needs to change on Iraq for talks to bear fruit: Iran

Iran said on Saturday that upcoming talks with the United States on Iraq could bear fruit if Washington changes its "wrong" policies in Iraq.

"If the United States acknowledges its past wrong policies in Iraq and decides to change those policies ... one could be optimistic about these talks and their future," Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki told reporters.

It is interesting to see how this story is being reported in a Muslim nation -- the only Muslim nation with a nuclear bomb -- that is also considered an ally to the United States.
