A bit of background - the WaPo has been a rabble-rouser in support of the war since the very beginning and has consistently disparaged opponents. At least the NYT had the grace to publish an apology in response to the Judith Miller scandal. The WaPo has never admitted its errors. I am not inclined to take the published opinions of a staff columnist seriously, especially when he is offering political advice to Democratic progressives - the same group trashed by his paper. Maybe the WaPo would publish a piece by David Sirota offering advice to the Republicans. I agree with Dionne on one point - this fight isn't over, and the opposition to the war will only continue to build, until politicians of both parties find it convenient to back an antiwar position.
