Newt Gingrich: Barney Frank And Chris Dodd Should Go To Jail

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said that Occupy Wall Street protesters -- as well as the rest of the American public -- have a rightto be angry about the economic situation in the country, but they shouldn't be mad at Wall Street: They should instead be directing their ire at government officials. This is an example of our government problems. Too many political leaders seem to willing to crucify anyone that does not agree witn them.

Hard to critique as journalism in the pure sense. It is a paraphrased "report" o (pretty fair) of a candidate's stump to energize a base through managed conflict. The debate is the foreground context. Fact checking (not attempted)would reveal a huge spin from the claimed accusations. In content, players are identified, but their roles (actual) in the claim are spun. Some "factual" statements of the obvious "concerns to play to the audience., Balance from the accused was later added as an update. They fail to note the republicans were the government that was screwing the people during most of that time. Interesting words from the ... More »

I don't think it is intended to be journalism. Instead, it simply reports a single person's somewhat random declarations during a 'debate'. It does not state what the question was that brought on the quoted statements, or if it was in response to another person's statements.
