This is factoid journalism. He uses the death rate of soldiers in Iraq and contrasts it with the death rate for other wars. While interesting it does not tell much of a story except to highlight that in terms of lives lost this war is far less costly to the US than previous wars. In general this is a weak story. If the argument is this is not a costly war, it should be fleshed out. If the argument is that the loonie left will never accept a war that has any cost, No point in making that argument it is self evident.
