Leans in favor of the Blue Dogs with little heard from the mainstream.

Pure and simple the Blue Dogs won. That said the original thought was that the bill had to come out paid for and the committees that did vote out a Bill voted out one that was not paid for- that is the problem. The Blue Dog's were not about to give ground on all actions to cut costs be left to the floor, not totally wrong. The mainstream just refused to take the required / mandated action.

It's hardly news that the health care legislation took longer than expected, just ask the Senate secretary. The real news is probably taking place in the cloak room, which the Monitor doesn't seem interested in here.

Bland repetition of the obvious. It's been clear for weeks they weren't going to make the August deadline. The Monitor barely scrapes the surface as to why.

Blah blah blah Blue Dogs. So someone had the sense to ask how we're going to pay for this, and now the left wing of the party and their cheerleaders like Daily Kos and MoveOn are kicking a fit.
