The critical tone of the article fails to acknowledge the importance of the acknowledgement by China of the scope of the problem they have identified in a relatively short amount of time considering the size of the country and the number of factories, people, animals, etc. involved in creating the problem over such a long period of time. The article brings no insight into the bigger issues nor does it give any perspective on how this information is going to change anything.
