Clear coverage of Republican worrying over their decision to send more troops to Iraq against the will of the American people. Quotes are from extremists like Lott and Boehner, not people in blue states who are most concerned about losing in 2008. The title of this article is awful. I have a good vocabulary, and I'd never heard the term "solon." Context and Wikipedia suggest that it may mean someone in the middle, after an old philosopher. Readers shouldn't have to guess at things like this.
