PBS's Islam Problem

Originally created for the America at the Crossroads documentary series currently airing on PBS, the film was nixed upon completion and kept off the air. Before the screening on Tuesday, Frank Gaffney and Alex Alexiev, two of the filmmakers behind Islam vs. Islamists, joked that theirs was one of the first films "roundly attacked by the people who commissioned it." An important story outlining the need for transparency at PBS. A lack of a statement or effort to get a statement from PBS supporting why the film was pulled beyond the comment "Alarmist" would be my only criticism.

Why is there no Topic under the "Media" Subject for media bias? This story is a bit one-sided, but then PBS has neglected to explain, in any kind of coherent way, their refusal to air the documentary in question.

While not good journalism, this is a good editorial. I don't see anything claiming that this is a news story so I don't see anything particularly wrong with it. I wish the rating system allowed for scoring an editorial versus a news story.
