With all due respect Jami, I think you miss the angle here. This is unbelievable garbage. The point is? The underlying point evidently is to characterize the Wash Post as normally having some "liberal ideology" that somehow has been reversed at long last. Well surprise surprise surprise, it doesn't! Good journalism looks at the facts, regardless of where that might lead ideologically. That's why there is a huge difference between the Washington Post (newspaper of record) and the Washington Times (right-wing ideological rag). While I might personally agree with the sentiment of surprise regarding a string of articles critical of the Democratically controlled Congress, I don't think there is a tremendous amount of information presented. While another reviewer thinks the author was taking the Washington Post to task, I think it is exactly the opposite. The author is astonished that this publication has released several articles with which the blog author agrees.

Takes WaPo to task for blaming Democrats that Bush vetoes the will of the American people (and Congressional Republicans don't help override those vetoes). Update: Wow. I thought a comparison to the Washington Times could only be read as an insult. They see that as a good thing, don't they? They got their critique of the WaPo article exactly right in a weird way -- it *is* a right-wing hit job. They just like right-wing hit jobs. Lesson learned.

This is a somewhat better story covering essentially the same ground as today's NYT article. This article benefits from more focused coverage and identification of its sources; in other words, the WaPo piece is less snarky than the NYT one.

A fair collection of information, but the author adds nothing of his/her own to the story. Well-sourced though with bloc quotes and heavy links. As an aside... people ought to read th comments on blogs before making declarations. "Taking WaPo to task" is a wildly inaccurate description.
