On my trip to Iraq, I embedded with the 1st Squadron of the 1st Infantry Division's 4th US Cavalry Brigade (based out of Fort Riley, Kansas). The story, written from a first hand look via embedding with the 1-4 Cav, is an informative portrait of the challenges facing our troops in managing the allegiances of Iraqi civilians with the forces of Al Sadr in Baghdad.
