A quick Gaza round-up

According to Al Ahram, the palestinian leadership want 1000 prisoners released in exchange for that 1 israeli soldier, and consider that this demand to be "fair". The Israelis are yet to respond, but I have a feeling that they might just say no.

Pretty sloppy, one-sided perspective. I don't find the author's reasoning to be particularly helpful, and he seems to be pushing his own opinions as if they were facts. I cannot trust this source to help me make informed decisions about this very complex and sensitive topic.

This Blog post by popular Egyptian blogger "Sandmonkey" fits well with his description of himself as being "cynical" and "snarky" while also being well-sourced and looking at the current Gaza crisis with a critical eye. It raises a number of questions worth considering, responds to controversial trends in Egypt and provides a unique perpective.
