It's official, as of Friday April 27th 2007 The Newstandard (TNS) officially ceased operations. This is a significant loss for both the independent media ecology, and for citizens who use independent media to stay informed about current events and social issues. Full Story »

This eulogy for the NewStandard raises worthwhile questions, and its findings are informative. We're glad that NewStandard tried and are sorry to see them go. RIP, NewStandard.
