Don't just read the main article, read the attached comments as well. A few of them actually add some insightful information.

So it seems that wind power has arrived. However, big wind farms using large turbines have shown problems integrating with existing electricity grids because they cannot generate power consistently. Some commenters suggested using smaller turbines which may be less efficient but can work with less wind, thus enabling farms to generate power more consistently.
