Wars can be stopped through communication. The military has to censor the media in order to keep wars going.

The basic primace would appear to be in error, we left Vietnam not because of the media, burt in spite of it. Returning soldiers/sailors and airmen that spoke out about the the war were called traitors and worse in the media, the mainstream media toed the goverment line until after the fall of Saigon.
