Never mind global warming. Peabody Energy CEO Gregory Boyce is betting big on the dirty fuel's durability

As evidence of global warming mounts, companies everywhere are going green. But not Peabody Energy Corp. (BTU ) Gregory H. Boyce, chief executive of the world's biggest coal company, is one of the few prominent opponents of climate regulation whose position hasn't softened one bit in recent months. As a corporate profile of Peabody Coal with its chief executive's perspective on the coal industry, this is an excellent piece. Efforts by the coal industry to adapt in order to secure the value of their vast reserves have been under way for decades. This article points to the role in alternative fuel markets and industry regulation in spurring that adaptation along.
