A major article about an initiative that hopes to become a major force for coordinating media which consider themselves "progressive"---in covert opposition to the conservative ("regressive") media network, and avoiding the easily-lambasted "L"-word, liberal. Clark and Van Slyke describe this exciting development with verve and in cogent detail, taking up in turn the strategic, economic, ideological, technological, and other aspects prompted by the topic, offering plenty of food for thought---and debate. Interesting report about the creation of a new progressive media association. Don't expect impartial reporting, as both the author and this publication are affiliated with the progressive movement. I would have liked to hear what non-progressives think of this development and the assessment that the media is dominated by the right-wing. But even though it is not a truly objective report, I did get some information about this new venture.
