Interesting multimedia report (including the written article, video of the wind turbines and interviews with local residents, photos, and illustration showing size/scale of the blades) on the effects of and opposition to wind farms in rural California. Very informative and relevant: alternative energy projects, similar to those in this California county, have a great chance of directly affections millions across the U.S.

Opponents say it is not simply the "not in my back yard" syndrome that they are expressing. Reading their comments causes me to question that claim. I wonder if they think more mercury spewing coal fired plants are a better alternative?
