Los Angeles Times to Cut About 150 Jobs

The cuts, expected to be announced Monday, would constitute more than 5 percent of the work force and include 70 newsroom positions, unnamed Los Angeles Times executives said Friday in a story posted on the newspaper's Web site. Full Story »

Straight ahead reporting on the fact that jobs will be cut at the LA Times. No political context given for these cuts, only a business perspective. A connection could have been made, for example to the recent Frontline documentary News War, had a segment specifically focused on the LA Times and their shrinking newsroom.
