This story highlights a book that is due out next month, "Left Turn" by UCLA professor Tim Groseclose. Professor Groseclose has put together a surprisingly analytical approach to determining the biases that we all know exist in our news media. The results of this analysis will surprise and are bound to be controversial. A must read.

When I travel to Europe I am always surprised at the overwhelming leftist slant of the media.. Particularly in France, Marxist assumptions dominate all discussion of contemporary events, and Americans are portrayed as hopelessly unsophisticated reactionaries (not to mention our Puritanical prudishness, our addiction to violence, and our naive American exceptionalism).
