Corn-based ethanol not cheap, not green

But corn-based ethanol is neither cheap nor green. It requires almost as much energy to produce (more, say some studies) as it releases when it is burned. The byline says "The Economist," and the attribution at the end of the article says 'Distributed by the NYT" Regardless, I don't think it should be under "The Seattle-Post Intelligencer"
